Operation Gratitude
Merritt Academy teamed up with Operation Gratitude this Halloween, and collected extra Halloween candy. This candy was shipped off to Operation Gratitude HQ, where they will be sorting it out and shipping it overseas to our troops! The students at Merritt Academy donated over 150 lbs. of candy! My classroom had to honor of packing up and preparing the boxes to be shipped to our troops. It was an awesome afternoon! Seeing the students work together on a task that they were so excited about, was truly special! Their faces were so full of joy, and they truly understood how special it is to receive gifts from home. Way to go, Merritt!
