Daily Snack
Students will have snack time once a day this year. Snack will NOT be provided. If your child wishes to have a snack,please send in a healthy option for them to eat. We have a "working snack" time this year, as students will eat their snack while they are working on completing classroom assignments.
Please do not send in dessert options as a snack. Cupcakes, cookies and candy are not healthy options.

Spelling Lessons and Tests
Students will take a pretest on Monday. This pretest will be checked, and if scholars get between 0-2 words wrong, they will be given a challenge list for the week. Scholars who get 3 or more wrong on the pretest, will be assigned the regular list. Both, the regular and challenge, lists focus on the same spelling pattern for the week. Scholars will be responsible for studying their words at home, and will be tested Friday in class.
Communication Folder
Each scholar has a daily communication folder. This folder will be used to send home important information from the classroom, and also includes a calendar where the scholars record their daily behavior color. Please check this folder daily, and empty any materials which need to stay home. Scholars will bring the folder back to class daily, and use it to return any papers to the classroom.
